This makes me scratch my head and ponder a bit. Even if they changed the channel names on their individual radios, how would that affect us scanner enthusiest? Is there a scanner that picks up (each radio that transmits) IDs ? I run a GRE 600 and have never noticed anything like this.

That's an incorrect frequency, for starters. It should be 462.9500 more than likely. Additionally, having no idea where you are it's difficult to determine what the PL might be.
